Reports surface of King, McAuliffe signs vandalized throughout Woodbridge area

As Election Week surfaces upon the Commonwealth of Virginia, and with the Democratic base gaining momentum off the historic visit of Vice President Kamala Harris to Dumfries on Thursday, that joy has turned to outrage as several signs in support of Delegate Candi King (2nd District House of Delegates) and former Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe have been defaced and vandalized along the Route 1 corridor in Woodbridge.

Reports of a white ‘X’ appear on King’s signs within the Potomac District down to Stafford, where she is running against Republican candidate Gina Ciarcia. In addition, McAuliffe’s signs have been spray painted with the words ‘Lying Loser’ throughout the area as well. As of press time, no public comments have been made from either campaign.

This is on the heels of another report that several weeks ago signs for Delegate Joshua Cole (28th-Stafford) were also defaced. There will be more on this breaking story as it develops.

As a reminder, today is when people can go and vote on Sunday during the ‘Souls to the Polls’ event to encourage early voting. For those living in the Prince William County area, you can vote in one of three locations from 1:00pm – 5:00pm:
