Rampage look to get back on the winning track against Virginia Royals

Tomorrow, the Northern Virginia Rampage look to get that elusive first win of the season as they take on the Virginia Royals at Potomac Middle School at 4:30pm. It will be part of a Major League Football Spring Elite doubleheader.

Despite adding some new wrinkles on offense last week with the arrival of new offensive coordinator Dennis Cornwell, they lost to the DMV Knights. While turnovers were the main culprit, they did show some improvement in the second half and started to move the ball.

One thing to watch tomorrow is if they will be able to put together a full game and limit the opponents’ possessions. If they continue to move the ball in open space, it will give their vaunted defense a much-needed rest. Only time will tell, as they prepare to finally break into the win column.

The team is looking to have a raucous crowd behind them as they take the field, looking to get over the hump and walk out of Coles Memorial Stadium in victory.
