A “Magical” Experience with Viral Bridal Dress Designer, Kelsey Hall

Ava Laurenne, named after the owner’s daughter, is a Fredericksburg, VA, bridal boutique, owned and operated by Wendy and Gabe Rivera. On Friday, October 27, 2023, Wendy Rivera and African-American and Italian-born fashion designer Kelsey Hall, from Haymarket Virginia, created an experience that was nothing short of “MAGICAL.” Kelsey debuted ” The Golden Age” bridal fashion show and created a night for all to remember.

Wendy and Gabe Rivera opened the doors of Ava Laurenne Bride Boutique, located at 1001 Princes Anne St., Fredericksburg, Va., for a magical night of Bridal Runway fashions created by Designer, Kelsey Hall. When I walked into this Bridal Fashion show, my eyes immediately gravitated to the bright and shiny golden decor that filled every corner of the showroom.

What made this Bridal Fashion Show Special

Everything. Everything made this Bridal Fashion Show stand out from the rest.

Wendy and Gabe Rivera have a background in drama and music, and when you enter their bridal shop, you experience visual and auditory stimuli.

Add to this combination, the glitz and glamour of DiDomenico Bridal Designs, and what you have is a “perfect union.”

Kelsey and Wendy met over social media. Wendy was thinking of her next move for the Bridal Boutique, and she came across some of Kelsey’s designs.

After seeing Kelsey’s Bridal designs, many which had already gone viral on social media, Wendy decided to drop into Kelsey’s DM and propose an in-person meeting.

Kelsey and Wendy discovered that they lived a couple of counties over from each other. Kelsey resides in Haymarket, Virginia, and Wendy is right over in Fredericksburg; this connection was destiny.

A Match Made in Heaven

Fast forward, the two set up a time to meet, and in the Spring of 2023, they decided to make the magic happen.

The two decided to bring their vision together, under one roof and “The Golden Age” Bridal Fashion Show and Gala was born.

Kelsey believes in saying “YES” to the wild dreams and fantasies of the bride, and Wendy believes in serving each bride and showing them just how special they are.

Since their union, they discovered that they are equally as passionate about the experience of every bride that they serve.

Wendy shares, “It’s not about the numbers, it’s about the bride. She is the only thing that matters.”

Kelsey adds, “It’s an amazing marriage between Ava Laureen and DiDomenico and not only the way we serve our brides and our customers but also the way we value God and family.”
