A Hole-in-One for Child Advocacy: Loveless Porter and BION Host First-ever “Charity Golf Classic”

Loveless Porter Architects and BION, inc. have teamed up to host an inaugural Charity Golf Classic on April 29, 2024, at Westfields Golf Club in Clifton, VA. Registration begins at 7:00 a.m., with an 8:00 a.m. Shotgun Start. The event promises a day of golf, community building, and supporting the work of Court Appointed Special Advocates Crisis Intervention Services (CASA CIS).

For 30 years, the dedicated volunteers of CASA CIS have served as advocates for children who are navigating the family court system due to neglect or abuse. Often, that extends beyond the courtroom, supplying children with necessities and offering emotional support along the way. CASA’s mission states: “We seek to ensure that each child’s needs are identified and addressed with the goal of providing a safe, permanent, nurturing home.”

“I am truly inspired by what CASA CIS does for the children it works with,” said Loveless Porter CEO Sean Porter, who has long served on the CASA Board of Directors. “CASA volunteers help children going through unthinkable circumstances, offering a stable adult presence that can change the course of these kids’ lives for the better.”

“BION, inc. began supporting CASA CIS in 2010, and it quickly became our chosen charity.  BION has supported CASA in many capacities by serving, both in a financial capacity and through volunteering,” BION CEO Josie Geiger, who was CASA’s Board Chair for 6 years and Chair Emeritus for the past 4 years. Geiger noted that a majority of BION employees have volunteered in with CASA over the years.

Geiger added: “We feel that supporting CASA is our community duty and also an honor. We feel that it is our duty to provide whatever assistance we can to support the most vulnerable victims of our society, abused children.”

BION-Loveless Porter Architects Charity Golf Classic registration is now open for sponsors, singles, teams, and even those who want to attend the “after party” via reception-only tickets. To learn more about this fundraiser or sign up, visit https://bit.ly/golf4casa.
