A Healing Guide Through Gospel

Business woman, Gospel minister, and writer Christian Dorn launched her first book Guard Your Heart on August 28th, 2020. While wearing many professional hats, Christian has also traveled the world, worked in International Diplomacy, lived in Ethiopia and Belgium, and worked at Reagan National Airport.

Before publishing Guard Your Heart, Christian explained that she was content serving people in the background as an unseen player, but felt that God was calling her to bigger things. She says, “A day came where I had to make a decision, whether I was going to choose God or choose acting. I made the decision to stop pursuing acting and pursue God. He led me to get my bachelor’s degree and go from there.” Now she preaches publicly about the word of God.

Dorn stated that she began writing the book three years ago, but after losing her uncle earlier this year, she felt that God gave her the words to complete what she had started. The loss of her uncle plunged her deeper into writing and ministry. Christian questioned God, seeking answers, and guidence. She told us that she owes her strength and healing to God and for giving her the gift of writing. She goes on further to expres how her relationships have mentored her to continue God’s work and to finish the book. Christian said, “…Even though some relationships only have seasons, each one plays a major role in my life. I have spiritual fathers and mothers who have mentored me…”

Once she sat back down to write Guard Your Heart Christian completed it in three weeks. She boldly proclaimed that if anyone is considering writing a book, they should “seek the Lord about what to write.” She goes on further to say that Guard Your Heart is about protecting our hearts from trauma and pain that can derail our destinies and how God can bring peace back into our hearts.

She hopes that Guard Your Heart can shine a light on God’s love and grace, provide guidance, and offer strategies for healing. “I know from firsthand experience what it’s like to be hurt, and what it’s like to be broken,” she said, “…Perfect love casts out fear, and that abandonment is rooted in fear. Have an attitude of gratitude. Whenever I feel sad and depressed, I’m reminded of what God has done in my life.”

We are inspired by Christian Dorn’s strength, her unwavering faith, and relentless passion to pursue God’s calling for her. We hope you can show your support for Christian’s new book.
