Woodbridge District Supervisor Margaret Franklin to host Minority Business Owners Meeting

During the COVID-19 pandemic, business owners have been hit hard by the resulting financial crisis, leading to a reduction in employees and services. This is especially so for minority business owners, who continue to face struggles in keeping their businesses afloat. Woodbridge District Supervisor Margaret Franklin is addressing the issue in a meeting on Monday September 21 at 7pm on Zoom. During the meeting minority business owners will be able to discuss their concerns and how they can maintain their businesses during this time.

Joining Supervisor Franklin will be the Director of Economic Development, Christina Winn. The event will be focused on county resources available to Minority business owners (grant initiative, PPE program, technical assistance, federal resources available), an overview of the impact of COVID-19 on our business community, and steps taken to mitigate that impact. Input from local businesses is requested to identify what challenges remain and how Prince William County can better support our small, minority-owned businesses.
