Travis Nembhard, Candidate for Virginia House of Delegates 22nd District, Holds Campaign Kickoff Event in Bristow

On April 22, 2023, Travis Nembhard officially launched his campaign for 22nd District of the Virginia House of Delegates at a kickoff event.

The event featured speeches by Tonya James, Chair of the Prince William County Democratic Party, and Delegate Danica Roem, candidate for State Senate District 30, which highlighted Nembhard’s experience and record of advocacy as an attorney, former financial regulator, and former administrative law judge.

Nembhard, a lifelong public servant, addressed a standing room only crowd with a rousing speech that emphasized his commitment to fighting for working families, strengthening our education system, investing in transportation and infrastructure, and standing up for the fundamental right for a woman to make her own healthcare decisions.

“I’m running to make this community better for all families,” Nembhard said. “Virginians are being squeezed by the cost of housing, commuting, and the cost of living.”

Attendees at Nembhard’s campaign launch event included family, friends, supporters, community activists, and elected officials. The event showcased Nembhard’s grassroots organizing strength, with volunteers signing up to join the campaign and pledge their support.

“Congratulations to Travis Nembhard on your campaign kickoff to be the next Delegate for House District 22,” said State Senator Jeremy McPike, “We need leaders like [Travis] fighting for our values in Richmond.”

Nembhard’s campaign is now in full swing, with plans to ramp up voter outreach, build a broad coalition of supporters, and compete vigorously in the general elections.
