Town of Dumfries to host its annual Christmas Parade this Saturday

This weekend the Town of Dumfries will hold its 47th annual Christmas Parade. In what has been known as a yearly tradition, the parade will be a celebration for Virginia’s oldest town and honor its tradition.

It will start at 10:00am at the Triangle Shopping Plaza and conclude at 17739 Main Street. It will feature several floats, bands and an appearance from Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus.

Dumfries Elementary School Principal Starr Granby will serve as the Grand Marshall for the event.

Afterwards, there will be ice skating from 11am – 4pm at Garrison Park.
