Supervisor Victor Angry Endorses Michelle Maldonado for Delegate

On Friday, Michelle Maldonado (D-50), candidate for House of Delegates, received the endorsement of Neabsco District Supervisor Victor Angry.

“I firmly believe the strength of our communities affects all aspects of our life from our health and well-being to our local economy and environment.” said Angry.  “Times such as these require leaders who are willing to find common ground to enact bold solutions that will improve the lives of all Virginians. That’s why I’m pleased to support Michelle Maldonado and I encourage all of you to join me in supporting her campaign for Virginia House of Delegates.”

“I’m honored to have the support of Victor Angry, someone who’s passion and devotion to service I admire,” said Maldonado. “Victor is a tireless public servant who continues to bring community leaders across Prince William County together to support our small businesses and ensure our economy works for everyone.”

Victor Angry was first elected to the Prince William County Board of Supervisors in a special election in 2019 following the death of longtime Supervisor John Jenkins. Angry is the first Black person to be elected to the Prince William County Board of Supervisors. He served for twenty-three years in active duty and holds the title as the first Black Command Sergeant Major of the entire Army National Guard. He continues to work in public service as a Dale City Volunteer Firefighter. Victor and his wife reside in Dale City along with their children, all of whom attended Prince William County public schools.

“People who work hard and play by the rules should be able to afford to live with dignity and raise a family,” said Angry. “Like many working families across Virginia, Michelle understands what it’s like to have the deck stacked against you. She’s not a career politician; she’s a working mom, a former attorney, and a small business owner who will bring a unique perspective to Richmond. I know her background as a leader and bridge-builder make her the exact sort of person we need right now to help get things done.”

Maldonado will face off against incumbent Delegate Lee Carter and challenger Helen Zurita in the June 8th Democratic Primary. The winner of the primary will face off against Republican nominee Dr. Steve Pleickhardt in the November general election.
