Ebony Lofton, candidate for Mayor of Dumfries, is an avid golfer who wants to give back to her community by helping to raise funds for local charities in Dumfries through a golf tournament.  

Friends of Ebony Lofton will host a charity golf tournament named “FORE the Love of Charity” at Potomac Shores Golf Club on Thursday, August 25, 2022. The event will hold several contests and an awards reception luncheon after play. Various sponsorship packages are available, along with foursome and individual player options. Shot gun start is 9 am.

A portion of the net proceeds (up to 10%) of the event will go towards Ebony Lofton’s campaign for Mayor. For those who do not play golf or are unable to attend, donations can also be made to help support the event and the local charities.  The support to the local charities or from event participants does not constitute an endorsement of Ebony Lofton as Candidate for Mayor of Dumfries by the charities or the event participants. 

On Sunday, July 10, 2022, Friends of Ebony Lofton will host a “Meet and Greet” luncheon to share her platform and plans for Dumfries when she is elected Mayor. Interested Dumfries citizens and voters are encouraged to attend.  The luncheon event will start at 1 pm at the Jeff Simpson Community Center at 17757 Main Street in Dumfries right across from Town Hall.  

Election Day is November 8, 2022.
