Save OCSS Refugee Donation Warehouse

by John Reid

Since its grand re-opening in 2022, One Community Social Services has served the community by providing support for resettlement agencies. Located at Potomac Mills, the non-profit organization has given families such necessities as toiletries, infant and baby goods, educational resources, shoes, furniture, and additional items for those who are in need. Thanks to several volunteers, it was established to help those relocated as part of Operation Welcome Home, the government program helping Afghan refugees to get settled in the United States since 2021. They have served more than 30,000 Afghan refugees in the DMV area.

They are in need of financial help, as federal funding has been halted in access of aid for federal relief. Please click on the link to see how you can assist in helping OCSS continue to serve those in need. All donations from the fundraiser will be for the rental costs of the warehouse.
