Rosie’s Gaming Emporium to Host Two Job Fairs in Dumfries In Preparation for their 2021 opening

Last month the PW Perspective spoke with the media department of Rosie’s Gaming Emporium as they laid out their vision for their latest opening in Dumfries. For details on the interview, click here.

They will be looking to hire within the community as two job fairs will be taking place. The first one will be on Saturday November 14th and the second on Tuesday November 17. Both fairs will be from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. It will be located at 3600 Point Center Court, Dumfries, Virginia 22026. Per the press release, potential new team members can also apply online at www.rosiesgaming.com.

The positions they will be hiring for ranges from customer service, security, food and beverage and housekeeping. Full time and part time positions are available.

In its first partial year of operations, Colonial Downs Group opened four locations, created more than 1,000 jobs, and contributed more than $14.4 Million in taxes and racing industry payments in Virginia.  At Rosie’s Gaming Emporiums in Richmond, Hampton, New Kent, and Vinton they offer innovative historic horseracing (HHR) gaming technology and full card simulcasting. Colonial Downs Group has made a $300 million investment in the Commonwealth of Virginia. According to a recent study, the company’s operations were poised to generate $26.1 million in state tax revenue, $17.9 million in local tax revenue, and $445 million in overall economic activity in Virginia in the year 2020, along with contributing $25 million annually to Virginia’s horse industry in future years. The Colonial Downs Group looks forward to reopening fully and achieving those goals moving forward.
