Rod Hall Statement on Naming of LaTanya McDade As New PWCS Superintendent

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — Rod Hall, Candidate for VA-HD-31, is pleased to see Mrs. LaTanya McDade’s naming as Superintendent to the Prince William County School Board. The moment calls for decisive, inclusive leadership, and Hall is confident that the perspective McDade will bring to this role will be critical to strengthening and expanding equitable education opportunities here in Prince William County. Moreover, at a moment when our teachers have stepped up in major ways to be community leaders for our youngest residents, supporting our educators, school boards, and education advocates is more important than ever before.

On her appointment, Hall said, “I’m delighted to welcome Superintendent McDade to Prince William County. She takes the helm of one of the largest and most diverse districts in not only the Commonwealth, but the nation. As she moves forward, ensuring every child – regardless of their zip code or socio-economic status has the necessary tools they need to achieve will be paramount.”
