Rod Hall hosts virtual COVID-19 Town Hall

Rod Hall, candidate for the Virginia House of Delegates, hosted a COVID-19 Town Hall to help share life-saving information on the COVID-19 vaccine rollout and how folks can work together to tackle this crisis.

Joined by Prince William County Supervisor Andrea Bailey, local clinical psychologist Dr. John Patton, and ER Doctor Dr. Derek Robinson, the hour-long town hall discussed where the district stands in regard to vaccine rollout and positivity rates, and the mental and physical tolls of this crisis.

Additionally, Dr. Patton and Dr. Robinson shared how we can work to build back trust with our Black and Brown communities to make sure all our residents are vaccinated in light of decades of mistrust between our country’s marginalized communities and health professionals.

In response to last night’s town hall, Rod hall said “This conversation could not be more timely as folks are calling for increased transparency into the vaccine rollout process and yearning for increased protection against this crisis for themselves and their families. We have to keep equity at the center of these conversations and work together as a community to make sure everyone is brought into this vaccine distribution plan. These critical conversations must continue so we can better protect our loved ones and work to tackle this crisis as a community.”
