Rampage Recap: Tough trip at the beach

As the grind of the regular season continues to toll for the Northern Virginia Rampage, they have had to overcome many obstacles, including 3 road games in the span of roughly a month’s time. That can be a lot to work with, especially in a new league.

Yesterday it resulted in a 35-9 defeat against the Virginia Beach Cyclones. The short-handed Rampage jumped out to an early lead capped by a 40-yard pass, resulting in a touchdown. From there, however, the numbers game and experience of the Cyclones was too much to overcome, and it left the Rampage still in search of their first win of the season.

Veteran Geral ‘Cheez’ Robinson spoke with the PW Perspective about the game. “The score isn’t a direct implication of how we played,” adding that, “We continue to scratch, claw and fight until there’s no time left on the clock.”

They will return home next Saturday to take on the DMV Knights, looking to get that first W on the season.
