Rampage Friday: On the Road Again

During the grind of any sports season, especially in a season that has not gone according to expectations, the best thing to do is set a path forward and create momentum going into next year. On Saturday in Chesterfield, the Northern Virginia Rampage have an opportunity to do exactly that.

They will be taking on the Virginia Royals in a rematch from a few weeks ago, in which they lost 28-0 at Potomac High School on April 16. Making adjustments will be imperative, mainly on offense, as they have not scored a touchdown since April 9. The biggest key will be can they reduce the turnover bug that has seemingly plagued them all season, especially on the first few possessions of each game, giving the opposing team an early opportunity to score. The defense will continue to look for ways to get after the quarterback, as they have been one of the continuous bright spots all season long. Dialing up blitzes will be important to establish a rhythm, and perhaps create enough turnovers of their own to give the offense great field position.

The game will take place at at 7pm J.A. Chalkley Elementary School, if fans want to go and cheer on the Rampage as they try to add a W in the record books with one more game to go.
