QTS Data Centers announced a partnership with the Greater Manassas Baseball League and a contribution of $20,000 to support the U16 team’s travel to the Senior Babe Ruth World Series in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. QTS employees, family members, and players of the Greater Manassas Baseball League gathered on July 10, 2023, at QTS’ Virginia headquarters to celebrate the team’s accomplishments. 

“We are excited to support the Greater Manassas Baseball League in going to their first Senior Babe Ruth World Series,” said Nick Blessing, Director of Public Policy & Economic Development at QTS. “Giving back to our community is a core part of the QTS philosophy, and we are grateful to be a part of the team’s journey.”    

On July 8, the Greater Manassas Baseball League earned their spot to play at the Senior Babe Ruth World Series for the first time in the team’s over 65-year history. The local Virginia team raised $6,370 through GoFundMe to bring the team to the World Series before QTS contributed the remainder of their $25,000 fundraising goal. 

“The Manassas Senior Babe Ruth team is both humbled and grateful for the show of support from QTS.” said Greater Manassas Baseball League Coach Bill Laughman. “The joy of winning the Southeast Regional tournament was quickly replaced by the anxiety of getting this team and their families halfway across the country for the World Series. With just 12 days to make hotel reservations, travel arrangements, schedule leave from work, fundraise, etc., the generous donation from QTS allows our entire team to attend the tournament. It was great meeting the QTS team at the event and seeing their genuine interest in our team’s story.”
