PW Perspective and Casa BruMar Foundation to host Virtual Candidate Forum

In recognition of launching June’s Pride Month, Casa BruMar Foundation and Prince William Perspective will co-host a virtual candidate forum specifically on the topic of LGBTQ+ issues for all candidates running for Congress from Virginia’s Congressional District 1. Invitations have been sent to incumbent Representative Rob Wittman (R), Qasim Rashid (D), and Vangie Williams (D). The event will be held via Zoom conference and on Facebook Live on Saturday, May 30, at 1pm. As of press time, Rashid has verified his participation in the forum.

Candidates will be asked questions that are pre-screened and from the live audience via chat. The questions will only pertain to issues specific to the LGBTQ+ community and of the content that applies to congressional-level policy and legislation. Questions can be submitted to secretary@casabrumarfoundation.org before May 22nd.
