Prince William Board of County Supervisors Honors Ebenezer Baptist Church

Ebenezer Baptist Church, one of the oldest African American Baptist congregations in eastern Prince William County, recently observed the 140th anniversary of its 1883 founding in Woodbridge.

The Prince William Board of County Supervisors has recognized and commended Ebenezer Baptist Church on reaching this historic milestone.

Since its founding, Ebenezer Baptist Church has weathered many turbulent periods in the commonwealth’s history. Despite such turbulence, its years of service and success are a testament to the enduring power of community and faith.

Celebrating the church’s anniversary recognizes the longstanding faith and history of African Americans in the Prince William County community throughout its history.
