Power of the Black Family

Too often the mainstream media, whether through biased news reports or Hollywood, attempts to discredit the unity of Black families by creating false images. The PW Perspective, which believes in the empowerment of the Black and Brown communities, seeks to honor the institution of strong families through a special promotion during the month of February.

Although the year’s shortest month is normally dedicated to Black History Month, we believe that Black history is everyday, so next month we will celebrate the Black families of Prince William County. It will be via a special feature called ‘Black Families Matter.’ Our newest section, ‘As a Woman,’ will explore the necessity on strengthening relationships within the community, with a virtual conversation on February 12. If you would like your family to be featured, please send us a photo and a brief description of your family to pwperspective@gmail.com.
