Opportunities to learn more about equity in Prince William County

This week, there will be several opportunities for people to know more about equity programs within Prince William County.

On Tuesday at 6:30pm, Conversations in the Community will host a virtual town hall with the Prince Willliam County Parents of Color. For those who would like to participate in the discussion, please send an email to conversationsinthecommunity@gmail.com.

The Prince William County School Board will be hosting their monthly meeting on Wednesday, One of the items that was not on the agenda was the PWC Equity Plan, which Dr. Lucretia Brown, Chief Equity Officer for Prince William County, presented the plan during the November 15th meeting. For people who are not able to attend the meeting, you can click on this link to submit a comment or question to Prince William County Schools.  You can use to submit a comment or question to the Prince William County School board about a specific agenda item. You can also sign up to speak on non-agenda items. A maximum of 10 registered citizens will be selected to speak on non-agenda items that are germane to the operations of Prince William County.

Finally, on Thursday at 6:00pm, the Prince William County School Superintendent’s Advisory Council on Equity will meet at the Kelly Leadership Center at 14715 Bristow Road in Manassas. The beginning of the meeting will be for citizens to speak on equity within the county.
