November is Diabetes Awareness Month

November is Diabetes Awareness Month!

Diabetes effects every organ in your body. From your eyes, skin and internal organs. For people living with diabetes, maintaining a healthy lifestyle that includes balanced meals, physical activity and good sleep are pivotal to good health!

This month join the PW Perspective team in walking/working out 30 minutes a day for good health!

It will take discipline but aren’t we worth it?

Here are a few tips when getting started on a physical routine.

Work with your doctor to determine what level of physical activity you should engage in

Figure out how much time per day you can devote to exercise

Set fitness goals—having clear goals can help you stay motivated

Consider where you’ll start working out—the gym, in your neighborhood, in a park?

Build different activities into your daily routine

Start slowly and allow for recovery time

Keep track of what you do and stay focused on your goals

Listen to your body

How do you know if you have diabetes? A blood test with your medical team is the best way to find out. This month, get a FREE diabetes test done at Manassas Clinical Research Center.
