Northern Virginia Rampage returns to action after unexpected bye week

Sometimes, the best things can come by surprise. In the case of the Northern Virginia Rampage, last week provided a gift in multiple ways.

For starters, their scheduled opponents the Maryland Chaos has to forfeit their contest, resulting in the Rampage getting their first victory of the season 6-0. Also, it gave the team a much-needed bye week in order to work on some more offensive fundamentals as new coordinator Dennis Cornwell continues to get acclimated to the personnel and establish a rhythm for the last few games of the season.

Tomorrow they will be taking on the Virginia Cyclones at Potomac High School at 6:00pm. It will be a rematch of an earlier contest that the Cyclones won 35-9 in a turnover filled contest. The Rampage will look to reverse their fortunes, and maybe getting a week off will be just the elixir that cures all ills.
