Jennifer Carroll Foy Earns Endorsement from American Muslim Women PAC

(Woodbridge, VA) – Today, the American Muslim Women PAC, the country’s first and only PAC dedicated to uplifting and empowering Muslim women, endorsed Democratic gubernatorial candidate Del. Jennifer Carroll Foy and her positive vision to move Virginia forward. AMW PAC aims to provide a platform from which American Muslim women can speak out in support of candidates for public office and policies that impact their communities.

“Jennifer Carroll Foy stands out from the field as an unapologetic advocate for marginalized communities,” said Mirriam Seddiq, Founder of AMW PAC. “As a defense attorney myself, Jennifer’s deep experience fighting for those who cannot fight for themselves as not just a public defender, but as a foster mom, Delegate, and candidate for governor, proves that she will be the Governor that women of color can trust to deliver on the systemic change we need. We are proud to endorse her and support her campaign in every way we can.”

“I am so honored to have the support of the American Muslim Women PAC, the only PAC dedicated to uplifting the voices of Muslim women,” said Del. Carroll Foy. “I am proud to be on the front lines fighting for justice and equity for all Virginians because I know what it’s like to face systemic barriers and make impossible decisions just to survive. As Governor, I’m dedicated to moving Virginia forward and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to thrive.”

Recently, Carroll Foy spoke at a recent Eid prayer in Prince William County, reconfirming her commitment to support the Muslim community, as she supported the expansion of the Dar Al Noor mosque in Manassas. “As your Governor I will be your partner, your friend and your ally.”

She goes on to offer her support by stating she will look to make Eid an official holiday. In addition, she offers her support for Palestine, who have engaged in escalating military strife with Israel along the Gaza strip over the past week. “I want to say that I stand in solidarity with our Palestinian brothers and sisters who are unable to celebrate today.”
