“In The Company of Laureates” Event Coming to NVCC

Northern Virginia is a place that embraces the art and culture of a diverse community. This weekend, on October 9th and 10th, the Northern Virginia Community College, Lakeside Theatre & Atrium will host, In The Company of Laureates event. Laureates from all over the United States and the world gather in a comradery of excellence for this two-day occasion and upwards of 30 Laureates will present their original works live in front of an audience.

This event will feature poetry readings by State, Regional, and Local Poets Laureate.

An open mic, hosted by John Dutton of Spilled Ink, will also be a part of the festivities!

The Prince William County Board of Supervisors declared the date of In the Company of Laureates as Poet Laureate Day from the first event in 2015, and again in 2017, and 2019, and now 2021.
