Feature: Write Your Story (Event)

“Success is not an accident, success is actually a choice.” Stephen Curry

In order to be successful in your life, many people believe you must have a growth mindset. While some might shrug this off as a trendy term, others have changed the entire trajectory of their life by putting into practice this concept.

What is a growth mindset?

According to American psychologist, Carol Dweck, there are two different mindset:

  • People with a fixed mindset believe that these qualities are inborn, fixed, and unchangeable.
  • Those with a growth mindset believe that commitment and hard work can develop and strengthen these abilities.

She further states, “In a growth mindset, people believe that their most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work—brains and talent are just the starting point. This view creates a love of learning and a resilience that is essential for great accomplishment.”

If you would like to find out more about growth mindset and hear step-by-step tips on how to create a new story for yourself, then check out the upcoming FREE Virtual Event entitled: Write Your Story presented by Ivory Hunter.
