Endorsement: Idris O’Connor for Coles District Supervisor

PW Perspective is excited to announce our endorsement of Idris O’Connor for Coles District Supervisor.

O’Connor is the Democratic nominee for Coles District Supervisor, and he is a proven leader within our community. He believes Prince William County can help lead Virginia into the future by providing a world-class education for every student and creating a vibrant community where businesses can thrive. As a graduate of Prince William County Schools and a long-time resident, Idris knows the importance of fostering a positive community.

As a community leader, O’Connor is Chair of the Cooperative Council of Ministries, Vice Chair for the Prince William County Social Services Advisory Board, and former Director for Families for Affordable Housing. His work has helped uplift underserved communities in Prince William County, and that dedication alone is deserving of our endorsement.

As Coles District Supervisor, O’Connor hopes to continue doing the important work of supporting underserved and marginalized members of our community. He has centered his campaign on increasing local access to affordable healthcare, investing in our schools to ensure students and teachers have the resources they need, protecting the environment, expanding access to affordable and attainable housing, and improving local transportation. These core issues impact residents’ lives on a daily basis.

O’Connor has a growing list of endorsements including the Collective PAC, CASA In Action, NOVA Labor, Clime Cabinet Action, Run for Something, Representatives Gerry Connolly and Abigail Spanberger, Manassas Park Mayor Jeanette Rishell, and more.

PW Perspective previously endorsed O’Connor in his bid to become delegate of the 31st District in 2021, and his continued record of service has earned him our endorsement once again.

Early voting began on September 22, with the general election taking place on November 7. He is running against Republican incumbent Yesli Vega.
