Early Voting Begins in Virginia: Where Can You Vote?

Early voting in Virginia began on Friday, September 17. Across Virginia, voters can cast their ballot early any weekday or Saturday between September 17 and October 30. Here is what you need to know to vote early in Prince William County and Stafford County:

When can you vote?

Prince William County:

  • Monday through Friday – 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Saturday October 9 and 16 – 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, October 23 and 30 – 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, October 24 – 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Stafford:

  • Monday through Friday – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, October 23 and 30 – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m

Who is on the ballot?

This year’s elections include crucial statewide and legislative seats. The entire Virginia House of Delegates is up for election. You can find out what district you live in here.

The gubernatorial election is between former Democratic Governor Terry McAuliffe, Republican businessman Glenn Youngkin, and teacher and activist Princess Blanding, the nominee of the Liberation Party. The Democratic candidate in the race for lieutenant governor is Prince William County’s own Delegate Hala Ayala, who has been endorsed by PW Perspective. Ayala will face off against former Republican Delegate Winsome Sears. The race for the office of attorney general is between Democratic incumbent Mark Herring and Delegate Jason Miyares, the Republican nominee.
