Dumfries Field Day to take place tomorrow at Garrison Park

Join Dumfries Town Councilwoman Cydny A. Neville, Councilman Shaun Peet, and our friends at Pillar Church for some good old-fashioned family-fun, at “Dumfries Field Day” this Saturday, June 4th from noon to 4pm!

The pandemic has kept residents physically distanced, but now is a really good time to bring people of all ages back together to fellowship, enjoy music, dance, play games, relax in the park, and enjoy some friendly competition!  Bringing families together for the purpose of having fun and showing unity in our community is extremely beneficial for our youth!

“I’m excited to be a part of putting together this Community Field Day event for the people of our community along with Councilwoman Cydny Neville, and Pillar Church. I’ve always found that it’s easier to build stronger children through recreational activities, and education. I will always be a part of enrichment of our children because they are our future.” – Councilman Shaun Peet

Participants will be able to take part in their favorite childhood games, like: double-Dutch, egg races, tug of war, dance competitions and more – did we mention there will be a Dj!

To prepare for the event, which is FREE to the public, participants are asked to bring: water, sunscreen, a blanket or lawn chair, snacks, and be prepared to have a great time in Dumfries!
