Dr. Anthony Fauci, Gov. Ralph Northam and others to meet with Virginia Leaders to Discuss the COVID-19 Vaccine
Discussion will be led by VCU Massey Cancer Center Director Dr. Robert Winn, local clergy, Virginia Department of Health and state officials for a special “Facts and Faith Fridays” virtual session.
On Friday, January 8, 2021, Dr. Anthony Fauci will speak about the COVID-19 vaccine in a virtual event co-sponsored by the Governor’s Office, the Virginia Department of Health, VCU Massey Cancer Center and faith leaders from the “Facts & Faith Fridays” group. Facts & Faith Fridays began in March 2020 as a weekly call led by Robert Winn, M.D., director of VCU Massey Cancer Center, with African American clergy in Virginia to address the disparate impact the pandemic has had on the Black community. The call has evolved to address higher rates of cancer and other health issues in diverse communities and continues to address COVID-19. With the exciting opportunity to hear from Dr. Fauci, the group is inviting interfaith communities and all Virginians to participate in this webinar.

Dyer, Acting Director of the Office of Equity at Virginia’s Department of Health, will be joining the discussion.
