DMV Business Crossing Network, Be The Change, Conference & Award Ceremony

On Sunday, August 21st, DMV Business Crossing Network and PW Perspective hosted their 1st Annual Conference & Award Ceremony. The event was a tremendous success!

The speakers delivered top of the line presentations! Dr. Oliver T. Reid opened up the event with an amazing presentation on writing your book and encouraged participants to write their book and use as your business card. Michelle Maldonado gave an eloquent presentation on the importance of your presence and the way to powerfully command the room.

Our keynote speaker, Mark Wiggins, delivered an entertaining and informative presentation on the reasons we don’t make a change. His talk left all in attendance ready to make moves and not be the impala (you’d had to have been there).

We also celebrated our 1st PW Perspective Award Ceremony honoring businesses from the DMV in 2021.

The award recipients gave powerful speeches and testimonies as they accepted their award.

During our noon break, attendees enjoyed a light lunch, and could network, enjoy our vendors, and take advantage of our FREE resource booths, which included free headshots with VsoulPhotos and ask the banker with LeAnn White. And enjoyed energizing music by DJ Dirty Reddz.

The afternoon session entertained two powerful workshops! Be the Manager of your Brand and Health: Mental & Physical-The Mind and Body Connection, were audience highlights. Be the Manager of Your Brand included Brittany Veney, Michael Williams, Ken Moorman, and Nelson Richardson, and moderated by Austria Henderson. Attendees walked away with tips to make their brand cohesive and learned the importance of a good marketing plan. The Health Workshop included Elethia Gay, Monika Monk and Liletta Harlem, who dug deep into the importance of entrepreneurs putting their mental and physical health first.
