Supervisors Margaret Angela Franklin and Victor Angry Issue a Directive to Charge the Newly Created Veterans Commission to Explore Options of Creating the First Ever Veterans Service Center in Prince William County

WOODBRIDGE, Va. – Supervisor Margaret Angela Franklin and Supervisor Victor Angry issued a joint directive to county staff that authorizes the Veterans Commission to explore options of locating a Veterans Service Center in Prince William County. A Veterans Service Center would allow veterans in Prince William County to have access to services and information in one centralized location within the county.

“A Veteran Center is long needed here in Prince William County. With Quantico located within our county and Ft. Belvoir located just outside of our county, Prince William has become home to thousands of our nation’s bravest individuals. As a veteran, I understand what it’s like to need easy and efficient access to services. This Center will create a one stop shop for veterans to receive critical information,” said Supervisor Angry.

According to Supervisor Franklin, “There are so many veterans in our community who need to access veteran services without having to travel far distances and it’s my pleasure to work alongside Supervisor Angry to put our veterans first by helping them access the resources they need.”
