Delegate Candi King to Chair the House Committee on Counties, Cities and Towns

As elected officials prepare for the 2024 General Assembly in Richmond, history was made today as Speaker-designee Don Scott announced that Delegate Candi King (HD-2) will be the chair of the House Committee on Counties, Cities and Towns. King becomes the first Black person and woman to chair the Committee. The announcement was made on X:

The announcement is yet another accomplishment for Delegate King, who has had a successful run since winning the seat in 2021 in a special election.
