Conversations in the Community announces Fall Field Trips

Conversations in the Community has two trips designed to bring education of famous sites in Black history in the coming weeks:

Manumission Tours Underground Railroad Tour 

Sunday, October 22nd 12:30 p.m. (DATE CHANGE)

Meet in Tavern Square (132 N. Royal Street Alexandria, VA)

Tickets:  www.manumissiontours.com (Select October 29th tour date.  Reserve “adult” and “child” tickets separately.  Adult tickets are $15 and Children’s tickets are $12.  Reserve tickets online.

Harriet Tubman Educational Center and Tour Day Trip (Cambridge, MD)

Saturday, November 18th 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

424 Race Street

Cambridge, MD 21613

8:00 a.m. – Meet at Uno’s Pizzeria & Grill (Parkridge Shopping Center) 10701 Bulloch Drive Manassas, VA to depart (Reston Limousine Van Service)

Return:  6:00 p.m.(approximate time)

Cost:  $100/person includes tour fee, round trip transportation, tips

NON-REFUNDABLE fee ($100) must be PAID IN FULL no later than October 29th via Cash App ($jenanise), Venmo (jennifer-roberts-944) or check made payable to Conversations in the Community (email me for mailing address) no later than Friday, October 20th, 2023.  Reservations will be made on a first come, first paid basis.

Lunch:  All community members are responsible for packing lunch and drinks.  We will have lunch outside at the educational center.

Children:  Chaperoned children of all ages (that do not require a car seat)  are welcome to attend.  The cost is $100/child regardless of age.
