During these times, people may find themselves in desperate need of resources. This is especially so for LGBTQ youth in the Prince William County area. Fortunately, there is an organization that is able to help financially in this COVID-19 pandemic.

Casa BruMar Foundation, and advocacy organization dedicated to helping the LGBTQ community, has created a grant assistance program that helps displaced youths while the state of Virginia is under a “stay-at-home” directive. The program is helping people who are unsheltered, undocumented immigrants or any other minority group.

Requirements: You must be between 18 to 25 years of age and reside in Northern Virginia. This is a grant to be used for cost of living expenses, like utilities or cell phone or out of pocket emergency medical bills. If you have been approved, the organization will contact you. Be prepared to provide a copy of the bill you need assistance with. Grant amount maximum is $150. Limit is one grant per individual per month.
