Battle Plan Strategic Consulting Gives Job Seekers a Road Map to Success

CEO Laurin Stamps discusses what it means to provide opportunities for those seeking employment

Although the world is slowly recovering from the global pandemic that created economic hardships all over, there are still millions of people who have yet to get back on their feet, as they lost their jobs due to businesses having to shut down. For others, the pandemic gave them the opportunity to assess their situations and make the move towards a career change, or enter the world of entrepreneurship. Whichever choice was made, the next question becomes: Now what?

Regardless of the status, finding the right guidance can be the hardest task, and with the lack of it, can lead to frustration and ultimately regression. Fortunately, there’s an organization dedicated to helping people gain direction and provide the resources necessary to get there.

Laurin Stamps, a career consultant who has spent years in the public health sector, understood this need and created Battle Plan Strategic Consulting, LLC as a mechanism to help create a roadmap for those seeking employment or the next level in their lives. Whether it was in project management with the federal government or in the private sector, she has been able to guide several individuals to make that transition in what can be a very difficult time. Recently she spoke with the PW Perspective about what it meant to create this endeavor.

“Starting Battle Plan Strategic Consulting, my very own business, means the world to me. Oftentimes, when I search to find somewhere I belong in Corporate America, or try to fit in as a Black woman, it proves to be extremely challenging and taxing. I was constantly undervalued and underpaid, and I know for a fact other Black women have similar experiences. These experiences are ultimately what prompted me to establish this business.”

Offering everything from career counseling to resume upgrades, Stamps has been able to help individuals find their path throughout the country. She goes on to discuss the freedom she has experienced and what it means to help others find theirs as well.

“I successfully created my own space, where I am free to be my unapologetically Black self, while simultaneously helping others that look like me overcome obstacles in Corporate America by acquiring the salaries and positions they truly deserve. It does not get much better than that!”
