Aneesa Johnson is a graduate student at Johns Hopkins University studying counseling. An active member of the local Muslim Association of Virginia (MAV), she has also worked as a community organizer for national organizations. Her experience also includes work in education, social media management, and fundraising/development. She received her undergraduate degree in Film and Middle East North Africa Studies from Northwestern University, near Chicago, but came back to the DMV as soon as she could.
