NCBW-PWCC to host financial workshop

Final workshop geared towards helping communities of color save and invest

Woodbridge, Va — The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Prince William County Chapter, Inc. (NCBW-PWCC), today announced that its final financial literacy workshop will focus on savings, investing, and estate planning.

“COVID-19 has disproportionately hurt communities of color, so the NCBW-PWCC created a series of financial literacy seminars to educate and uplift those most effected by the pandemic,” said Sheila D. Coleman, President of NCBW-PWCC. “We are proud that each of our seven workshops have been free to anyone who is interested in learning more about money management.” These sessions have attracted participants from across Virginia, as well as outside of the Commonwealth.

The final workshop will cover evaluating different insurance options, deciding on a retirement strategy, investing (stocks, bonds, CDs, etc.), and estate planning.

This collaborative partnership has been made possible thanks to the National Coalition of 100 Black Woman, Inc., the Sister-Nomic$ Committee, Truist, the Prince William County Chapter, Inc., and the Prince William County Chapter Economic Empowerment Committee.
