B.R.A.V.E.458 serves the community at “A Day of Food and Health”

Brave 458, which stands for “Being Righteous and Victorious Everyday,” has provided food and clothing to the homeless and to homeless shelters throughout the county. Yesterday, they hosted “A Day of Food and Health” at the Ferlazzo Building in Woodbridge, which focused on providing nourishment as well as dental and health needs to the homeless community. Working in conjunction with the Prince William County Police Department and Greater Prince William Community Health Center, the volunteers were able to serve many with food, including those who were working on paving the roads. In addition, the GPWC Health Center gave gift bags of dental supplies. It was a festive atmosphere full of great conversation and fellowship that was a welcome sight as society continues to recover from the pandemic.

Headed by Hylton High School Junior Varsity Boys Basketball Coach Marlon Marshall and his wife Lisa, B.R.A.V.E. 458 continues to have an impact to those in need, and the support they’ve received from others is astounding. Hylton Boys Basketball Coach Barry Smith, a longtime friend of the Marshalls, talked about what it meant to be at the event. “Marlon and his family has done a lot in the community, and it was a great opportunity to come out here today and serve, because that’s what it’s all about.”
