Zhariah: A Rockstar that embraces diversity of thought

Imagine music featuring whips, chains, leather, and studded boots all performed by a 21-year-old Black girl.

Zhariah is a Rockstar and takes pride in showing Black girls that there are no limits on creativity and to embrace being different! Her feature songs Stars, Yass Siss, and Metal Whips, and Chains, a fusion of pop, screamo, and raw hip hop, give the listeners an edgy entertaining sound that is quickly gaining followers in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. Zhariah’s groundbreaking music is currently available on all streaming music platforms.

Zhariah is performing at the DC Music Summit (DCMS) this weekend and is excited to share her diversity with the attendees. As an up-and-coming artist, Zhariah is also looking forward to expanding her network and connecting with people that will help her continue advancing in her career. Zhariah is excited to be part of an event that was originated by a Black woman and she admires Dior Ashley Brown for being both an artist and orchestrating a monumental event to help support other artists.

Zhariah’s message to aspiring creative artists like herself is, “Be yourself and always follow your dreams, expand your horizons, break the envelope, give the people something they’ve never seen.” Her last message to everyone is, “Black alternative people are reclaiming their sound, so pay attention!”
