Dr. Steve Pleickhardt Announces Campaign for the 50th House of Delegates

Dr. Steve Pleickhardt formally announced his candidacy for the Virginia House of Delegates on Tuesday.

Pleickhardt has lived in the Bristow community for almost twenty years, where he owns and operates American Dental. He is also the President of his homeowner’s association. Earlier today he released the following statement:

“Over the last two years, Richmond has failed Virginians.  They have pursued higher taxes, a dangerous defund the police agenda, and endless lockdowns that have left our kids out of school and forced countless businesses across the Commonwealth to close,” said Dr. Pleickhardt.  “Our families deserve better, and I am running for Delegate to ensure that they get better from their elected officials.  I will pursue tax cuts, ending I-66 tolling, and work so our schools can re-open safely and our businesses can thrive again.”

Pleickhardt is joining the Republican Primary and will be competing with Michael Allers, Jr. for the Republican nomination. Recently, Helen Zurita and Michelle Maldonado announced their intentions to run as Democrats in challenges to Delegate Lee Carter, who is running for Governor.
