Local Entrepreneur Opens Boutique After Several Years of Ignoring Her Dream

The House of BellaChic Luxe is a Bridal boutique in Prince William County created for the bride who whimsically daydreams of romance, love and happily ever-after’s, as stated on their website. BellaChic Luxe’s goal is to ensure that their clients’ bridal experience from beginning to end reaffirms each bride’s belief that dreams really come true.

Owner, Towanna Crutchfield, feels that opening BellaChic Luxe’s business was her own life’s dream in the making. Having owned a boutique almost a decade ago, Towanna knew the joys and pains of entrepreneurship well, and initially determined that she was content with working in the Corporate world, putting her entrepreneur dreams to bed, or so she thought.

When a friend contacted Towanna to help assist with a wedding renewal ceremony, she enjoyed the excitement of helping her friend be beautiful for her big day. Towanna felt like she couldn’t continue to run from her calling of running a bridal service company, and just a couple of years later, House of BellaChic Luxe was serving up luxury gowns to brides for their big day. Towanna handpicks designers that not only fit the mission of her business but also offer quality gowns at a reasonable price. This allows her to offer the very best affordable luxury gowns ranging from sizes from 0 to 32.

After operating from a short period from her own home, Towanna realized that she needed to open a proper storefront to stay competitive, and that’s when she opened up her in-person boutique, scheduled to open in February 2021 in Woodbridge, Virginia.

In the meantime, her online boutique is offering the entire bridal experience from wedding gowns, accessories, and even bridal styling on the day of the wedding, allowing for family and friends to enjoy the day taking pictures and celebrating the occasion, instead of laboring to help their bride get dressed and styled. Towanna also offers rental gowns and makes herself fully available while practicing social distancing and masks to help each bride have success.

Towanna has a very special message for other Black female entrepreneurs like herself, “Never give up, Keep going, no matter what, Success and failure are the same direction , failure is when you stop, success is when you keep going!“
