Small Business Relief Micro Grant Applications Deadline Approaches

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted several small businesses, especially in Prince William County. However, the Prince William County Economic Development is looking to help both small businesses and non-profits with the Small Business Relief Micro Grant.

The Small Business Relief Micro-Grant Program provides financial grants of up to $50,000 to qualified Prince William County small businesses and non-profits impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The grants will assist eligible businesses in maintaining operations and can be used for ongoing expenses such as payroll, rent and insurance. Grant recipients can also use funds to purchase e-commerce equipment or expand websites and online sales capabilities.

According to the website, only businesses that have not received a Small Business Relief Micro-Grant from PWC will be eligible. Grant amounts are determined based on the following:

  • $2,500 – Non-profits and Home-Based businesses
  • $7,500 – Businesses with 1-20 employees
  • $10,000 – Businesses with 21-50 employees
  • $25,000 – Businesses with 51-100 employees
  • $50,000 – Businesses with 101-250 employees
