Local Officials Approve New Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction Goal

Mothers Out Front has reported that local officials in the DMV area (including Prince William County) have approved a new greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction goal for the region. The new goal calls for a 50 percent reduction in GHG emissions below baseline levels—or 2005 emission levels—by 2030. For more details please visit the following link.

Now the challenge remains as to whether the Prince William County Board of Supervisors will follow through with the commitment to reduce GHG emissions. We will have more updates on this breaking story as it develops.
