“It’s okay to dream!” The journey of Nina S. Jones.

by John Reid

Often the road to discovering purpose takes many detours. For Partner.Co Health & Wellness Consultant Nina S. Jones, her road led her to helping others live healthier lives.

As she celebrates her one-year anniversary today, Nina met with the PW Perspective’s John Reid to discuss how she began her entrepreneurship journey.

“What started for me was back in 2018,” she said. “I lost my baby brother to colon cancer, and he had just turned 48. Last year in May, I lost another sibling to colon cancer.”

From there, she was determined to take care of herself.

“As my sister was transitioning, I made a commitment to myself to take care of my temple,” she said. “I saw about the uses of Tahitian Noni Juice, and I would say that it found me. I purchased get a bottle, and at the time I was dealing with a thyroid issue, extreme fatigue, drinking sodas just to get through the day. I was tired, dealing with hair loss and heart palpitations.”

So, how did it help improve her health?

“I noticed within a couple of days my energy levels had increased,” she continued. “When I went back for my second bottle, the lady who sold it to me said there was an opportunity for my health & wellness. If anything, I could share what it did for me. Within one year, my thyroid medication decreased four times. I started training and look into the benefits of Noni juice, and I haven’t looked back.”

Life as an entrepreneur is more about selling products, she says, but about a greater purpose.

“Since I’ve been in the business,” she said, “I’ve created my clientele on how the juice is helping so many people. For me, it’s more about getting the sense of fulfillment. Fast forward, why I’m so passionate about it because it’s a ministry for me.”

“It’s more than a juice, it’s about helping people heal from the inside out.”

She describes the health benefits of the juice.

“It’s all natural, gluten-free, and the only dietary supplement found in the Physicians Desk Manual, which is embraced by the health community. It’s the leading source of iridoids. What I’ve learned is the iridoids are all natural compounds, vital nutrients which get in on a cellular level. They come from a medicinal plant, and they get in your system, and seeks those damaged cells.”

What the drink also does, she says, is to improve gut health, which many people struggle to maintain.

“Most of our illnesses start at the gut,” she said, “the juice gets in there and discovers those areas which needs the most help, it also forms a protective wall. It also helps with your immune system. It also lowers your A-1C levels.”

She lauds the organization for giving her the opportunity to fulfill this journey.

“I met the owner of the Tahitian Noni Juice and he told me how he created this as a way to help with diabetes, but found so many other uses for it. I’m an independent brand partner with PartnerCo, and the original owner and those who were selling the juice in the 1980s and 90s have retired. Their children took over and brought a fresh vision. We’re determined to make it a household product; it has opened up a lot of doors for me to meet people and make divine connections.”

“I look at it as walking boldly in the purpose God has for me.”

Nina gives encouragement for others who are going through a similar journey.

“It’s okay to dream,” she said. “For me, which I’m still taking baby steps, it’s important to write the vision down, make it plain. If it’s something your heart desires, no matter what anyone tells you, you will achieve it.”

“Anything worth having is worth fighting for,” she continued. “There will be times you will feel overwhelmed. In those times, you must encourage yourself.”

Even as she is one year into being an entrepreneur, Nina states how she is still in the learning phase herself.

“What I’ve learned is to give myself grace,” she said, “to realize that I don’t always have to have it together before taking the next step. I also know that a closed mouth doesn’t get fed, so I’m learning to speak more.”

“Even if you have to do it scared, just do it. I push myself to do it anyway and overcome the fear.”
