Prince William Little Theatre Presents Award-Winning Production “Stick Fly” by Lydia R.Diamond

Prince William Little Theatre (PWLT) proudly announces the return of captivating theatrical performances to the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas, Virginia. Following their remarkable success as the 2023 Broadway World Award Winner for Best Play for “The Westing Game,” PWLT embarks on yet another theatrical journey with “Stick Fly,” a compelling play by Lydia R. Diamond. Directed by the talented Chaz D. Pando, “Stick Fly” promises to enthrall audiences with its rich narrative and dynamic performances.

Set against the backdrop of Martha’s Vineyard, “Stick Fly” delves into the complexities of family dynamics, class, race, and cultural expectations. The narrative unfolds as the LeVay brothers introduce their new girlfriends to their affluent and enigmatic parents during a seemingly serene summer weekend. However, tensions rise, secrets unravel, and relationships are tested, revealing the underlying fissures within the family.

What sets “Stick Fly” apart is its exceptional cast of a majority of African American actors, a rare gem in the realm of community theater. Becky Gould-Levine, President of Prince William Little Theatre, emphasizes the organization’s commitment to inclusivity and diversity on stage, stating,

“Stick Fly” runs from March 8 to March 17, 2024, at the Gregory Family Theatre in Manassas,
