Virginia Black Business Directory celebrates their annual Expo & Conference

The Virginia Black Business Annual Expo of 2023 brought together a vibrant community of entrepreneurs, innovators, and thought leaders, igniting conversations that revolved around empowerment, branding, marketing, and the exchange of knowledge.

The conference had 150+ Black-owned vendors and shared business and community tips for entrepreneurs. A number of youths were excited to showcase their businesses and published books, and the community was excited to support these upcoming Black entrepreneurs.

One of the important points was the significance of Black certification. Entrepreneurs were urged to consider certifications that create opportunities and empower Black people to excel in different industries..

Speakers emphasized the importance of sharing knowledge as investment. They highlighted the act of transferring knowledge to uplift and support fellow entrepreneurs, fostering growth within the community.

Businesses discussed if they use different platforms for entertainment or for strategic buying. Shanel Evans, the founder of FYRE Savvy, emphasized the significance of a strong brand and strategic use of marketing platforms.

Money Briggs, a dynamic speaker, captured the audience’s attention with powerful insights on creating memorable experiences. He talked about attracting people, the first sale leading to followers, and turning them into enthusiastic salespeople..

The Expo also tackled the transition from a traditional job to running a business. Attendees learned to avoid the pitfall of trading time for money and to establish robust systems and strong support networks.

Guests were reminded of the power of inspiration, information, and implementation in building a successful venture. Emotions play a big role in decision-making, so it’s important to connect with customers on a deeper level..
