How can we improve our health literacy going forward?

April is National Minority Health Month, and one of the biggest challenges is learning about what our situation is when it comes to our health. According to the National Institute of Health, only 14% of people know their true health literacy. This is an even bigger problem for communities of color, where an estimated 60% would prefer a physician of the same culture who understands their specific needs.

In this exclusive interview, we speak with Internal Medicine Physician Dr. Anthony Cooper, who talks to us about ways to improve our health and where schools can play a role.
